Do you think hooded eyes make people look older or younger?

Anonymous

so most of the people who have had eyelid surgery end up looking OLDER than they did before removing the hooded eyes. only some actually look better and not necessarily younger just better maybe look more "awake" not younger just less squinty, and it's only SOME.

HOWEVER if you search anywhere, the results in writing say that hooded eyes make you look AGED.

my other concern is, I was born with hooded eyes and I didn't have to wait for OLD age to get hooded eyes.

I'm 38 and people confuse me for a teenager, I believe it's because I have a round face, big cheeks AND hooded eyes but people say hooded eyes age you? then why do the people getting the surgery look older after? and why do people confuse me for being a teen in my lat 30's?

another thing I do notice is my photos of when I was actually a teenager what I notice the most on my face is that my eyes were MORE SQUINTY and as I age they have opened up more.
so from my on observations of my young self and my old self, the more the eye opens up the older people look, if my eyes wouldn't have opened up they would likely think I'm even in my early teens instead of 17 or 19 ..

are the people writing the results on the internet based on studies that are based on assumptions? because from what I'm seeing it all seems to be the opposite of what the search results say..

What's your opinion on this? Do you think hooded eyes age people in general or actually make them look younger, contrasting the results google gives entirely. Perhaps it's to make business for aesthetic surgery? like telling you this and this is bad so go have this and this surgery to look "better" and such?
