Every girl I have met who cut their hair short has regretted it, so I wouldn't do it if you're considering it.

Anyway, I prefer medium or long, but it doesn't matter that much to me. If it's a good hairstyle and it fits you, then most people will be into it.

for girls, i prefer long. shortest should be a bob cut and not an extremely short one.
for guys? still long but the style is more important than the lenght.

I go from long to very short (a few cm) every few years. But this year, I made a change and got a very irregular cut with plenty of bangs around my face and longer strands on my back. I like it a lot :D
