I know people who wear suits often that I don't trust. Some I do. Women in powersuits are sexy, my opinion. It is just an image and not actions, afterall. It does show an extra layer of someone taking pride in their appearance. Color coordinating the tie and suit, the watch, and shoes. Making sure your suit is dry-cleaned and ironed, your shoes polished. Let's not forget the haircut to top it off. Taking the time every morning to put it on. I'm more likely not to trust a cook, however, if I never ate at their restaraunt before.

As my avatar hints, I love wearing a suit. The world just treats a man differently wearing a nice, well fitted, suit. Give me an excuse to wear one!

I will tell you people do trust a man differently when he’s wearing a nice suit. Not some off the rack Target BS, but a proper suit. Should they? No. Not really. Trust should be based on more than just an appearance but this is not how the world works. There is a lot of psychology behind appearance and trust. Why do you think salesmen so often wear the same attire?

I never trusted someone based on how they dressed but suits make me think of politicians and other law enforcers so i’s prob trust them less

I'm not but most people are.

Having worked in a suit myself around other people in suits, it has lost its influence on me. I don't use it as a measure of trust.
