To take jeans on and off. But, the real question is, why do women's jeans have zippers on the front? It creates added bulk in an undesirable location and is unnecessary. I love trousers and jeans with side zippers, because it is far more flattering. But those are the exception rather than the norm, so if I can find pants with side zippers I snap them up.
The other thing that is frustrating is the waistbands in pants for women. Why aren't those adjustable? I am not curvy (I don't have a lot of extra enhancement), but I have a small waist. I often struggle to find properly fitting pants off the rack because the waist is not small enough for the pant size (I'm a 2 in Calvin Klein and Old Navy jeans). I hate gappage and don't like wearing belts with pants unless the pants are highwaisted and my shirt is tucked in. But too much extra fabric creates bunching and it's not a good look.
The zipper is to make them possible to get on and off. If you have curves like a butt and hips it’s impossible to get a pair on and off without unzipping
As a Junior in college, after a night school class In "Simmons Hall"... I found it easier to get Carla's jeans down below her hip bones, in order to get to her bikinis? I think that is why the designers made them that way... AND of course Carla was able to get my Jeans down because of the zipper !
Any more questions? 👍🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
Women have hips plus like tight clothes... there's no way they could even put jeans on/off without a zipper or buttons. And generally speaking, if you have a long shirt plus tight fitting pants the only way to properly tuck it in is by pulling through the front flap & smoothing it out.

So they don't fall off. Women's hips are bigger than their waists (usually), so jeans have to be big enough to get around them- but then nothing would hold them on, unless something cinched them up afterwards (or they wore belts).
The REAL question is why so many people have no issue with YKK, which is a monopoly far bigger than Luxxotica.
How would you take the jeans off if there was no zipper?
To remind me that even though I have no chance of ever having sex with her, there are some guys who are permitted to do so from time to time... lol
Try pulling on a pair of jeans without opening the zipper. Then imagine a woman with wider hips trying to get them on. The function of the zipper becomes pretty obvious.
The main purpose of a zipper is to make it easier to put the jeans on and off. Yes, we guys use the zipper for other things, but that's not why it's there.
So you take you jeans and other trousers off without pulling your zip down, how clever of you.
To be able to take off and put off pants. Did you really need to ask this question? So stupid.
If they are made of a non-stretch fabric like denim, and fit closely at the waist, the zipper makes it possible to get them on over the hips.
It's a lot easier to pull them down when they have to pee.
of course. how would you ever get that thing off otherwise? you need to widen the waist to get it over it. specially as women who have wider hips then men.
Probably because they're made by the same people with the same tools that make mens' jeans... and it would cost more to fundamentally change the process.
Does help in getting them over your ass and hips!
Because leaving the big hole there lead to too many car accidents.
It still makes getting jeans on and off easier...
Jeans need to be pulled on snug... just like a mans. Without a zipper the material is too stiff.
Same reason mens pants have zippers, so you can take them on and off.
If you're in a hurry, it makes it easier to get to her clit.
I don’t know but today there are people calling themselves girls that have a bigger package than lots of guys…. lol.
because only grandmas wear jeans with elastic waistbands
Easy answer. The waist band is smaller than hip size. They are easier to pull down if the zip is downed first, and any buttons undone.
Because we have hips.
Makes it easier to take them off.
For adjustment purposes
So you can get your pants off easier
