Do you dress like you're from another decade?

So I hate hate the way I see people dress these days, to me they look like slobs. I buy almost nothing but button up collar shirts and slacks. Plus a leather satchel briefcase thing, makes me look straight out of the 50's or 60's. Nerdy look probably but I don't care.
Do you have a look or dress from another decade? Maybe the 80's, the 90's, 70's, maybe just certain clothing items.

I guess you could say that. I never wear shorts that go all the way down to your shoes, I wear shorts the way men used to wear them up until the early `80's. The kind that hang just past your crotch.
Although I don't wear them constantly, I much prefer tie-dyed t-shirts. I just like lots of bright colours and one-of-a-kind designs.
If I wear a baseball cap, I wear it THE NORMAL WAY!! And I prefer to have the brim flipped up like Sach or Rick Nielsen.
I don't wear over-sized t-shirts that could easily double as a mini-dress. I prefer t-shirts that actually fit, but, being 6' 9", those are very hard to come by so, I end up with t-shirts that are a size or two too small for me. At least I'm not wasting yards of material just to be cool like all the kiddie winkies today.
When I wear my shoes, they are TIED! I also don't scrape my feet when I walk, nor do I spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of shoes JUST because they have a name brand printed in huge letters on them!
I don't need all sorts of gold jewelry on my neck and fingers just to prove that I'm special and have lots of money.
And, I don't waste hundreds of dollars getting tattoos all over my body!! I MIGHT go so far as to get a W on each ass cheek so that, when I'm naked with my feet in the air, it says, "WOW". And, if I'm standing and bend over, it says, "MOM".

6'9" !! The only guy on here taller than me I think, and by quite a bit! Love the tie dye, I laughed and said "a real hippie!" But yeah I love people who dress from another era and don't care, like your 70's shorts, its interesting, makes me nostalgic.

I love psychedelic music too, although you wouldn't know it by looking at me. I have and enormous collection boxes and boxes of it, goa or psychedelic trance. The hippie movement from what I understand largely left the US in the 70's and many of the went to the island of Goa for a while.

Yup, I'm exactly the same way. Can't stand how people dress these days and can't stand the culture either.

Most of my outfits are from the 1920s - 1950s. All I wear is dressy clothes every day. I don't even own jeans, sweatpants, etc. I own authentic 1940s overcoats, 1920s collarless shirts, 1920s tweed suits, 1940s spectator shoes, 1940s wool suits, 1920s linen suit for summer, and 1800s pocket watches with authentic chains. I even have a Regency era suit and a victorian era shirt and coat. As a medieval enthusiast, I own a kaftan, tunic, trousers and wool cloak that I wear for events.

I don't know if I'd say from another decade, but I think I dress reasonably well. It's usually a simple coloured tshirt (like black, white, grey, beige, olive green, navy blue), with jeans, khakis, or dress pants that are either black, blue, beige or brown. I keep it simple

I think we'd have to be enemies. It is always the 1990s in my wardrobe. All my clothing is baggy. Metal band t-shirts and urban camo cargo trousers with pockets all over the place. Not to mention my long leather dusters. My main one was white when I got it, but it looks very weathered now due to years of use.
I hate formal suits. The whole look is corporate slavery to my mind. It disgusts me. And it is too tight. People always look stupid in tightly fitted clothing.

Some of my stuff is kind of retro, but fortunately men's fashion doesn't change much. I think the best era for men's clothes was the 1920s - 1950s and you can probably still wear that stuff without looking wack.
