that's funny. I didn't live to see this type of dressing style. Most of them look funny 😄 in these pics.

In real life however, in the 90's I remember I watched a soccer game and I was really young, and the soccer players were much older, maybe about 20 years old

I remember standing there and someone pointed out the super short shorts of one of the players.. so I looked and I was WOWWW
everyone else had normal length shorts about the knee

He had it way above the knee and his legs were somewhat thick not overly thick just thick enough to look nice! they were fit muscular and I never thought I would feel attraction towards mens legs haha I still feel that's weird but HE WAS JUST wWoW!

I remember standing there and I said Oh My God!!
as he places his hands on the outer part of the shorts and somehow lifted them more UP
and I suddenly felt seduced for the first time in my life lol
I was not even a teenager yet! but I felt seduced lol
and he pulled them even more up
I kept saying OH MY GOD with every pull and then I heard my friends laughing and telling me to stop and I didn't want to leave, when I finally turned around, there was this older man there watching me with a funny smile and laughed and I ran away! fast! I felt embarrassed lol they told me that was his dad and was watching me the whole time being amazed by his son haha

I wish I found a sexy soccer player like that handsome and seductive. he didn't look funny with super short shorts, I think some body types just look really funny while others can look good and attractive. Most of the ones you posted look either average whatever and the others look hell a' funny lol 😂!!

I was 4 years old in 1980 and 13 years old in 1989 the pics of the guys you have up are people that grew up or were born in the late 1960's to early 1970's. I dressed more like pics below. It was more like pre-grunge style then late disco. Even in the 1980's people my age thought guys that dressed the way there were in your pictures were dorks.

I was a skater so I dressed more like this: Often baggier shorts but some wild colors, sleeveless shirts, neon wristwatches, things of this sort.

No, but I was born in 1980 so I had a mullet, rode around on a skateboard or BMX bike and hung out at the Arcade. My older sister had the big hair sprayed hair, leather jacket and listened to Poison, Guns n Roses and Bon Jovi. My older brother had a mustache, black hair like Tom Cruise and he was always working on muscle cars and trucks listening to AC/DC, Van Halen, Heart and stuff like that. He dressed in jeans, normal shirts, but he did have a pair of snake skin cowboy boots at one time. Lol. We definitely never wore those half tops like in the pictures.

Shorts were shorter for sure. O. P. was very hip. I can't recall seeing guys wear shirts with a bare midriff. That I think was *very* rare.

3rd picture down, second guy from the left. That's what I and almost all my friends looked like.

Now leisure suits in the 70s! Talk about a fashion faut past! I had a navy blue one. And I was a dumb kid so I loved it!

The entirety of my teenage years were in the 80s… and no.
I didn’t even know anyone who dressed like this.
Jeans… like, Levi 501s, t shirts, not cropped… the occasional douche with sleeves ripped off.
Myself, I wore what would be considered dress clothes now. Seriously, I wore a tie almost every day… and not some cool, New Wave type stuff. If you’ve ever seen the 80s sitcom, Family Ties… yep… Alex P Keaton was my style. 😆

As a kid i wore Levies jeans and a tee shirt. You could litteraly dress the same way today without anyone paying any attention except the jeans were better. They are crap today , poor quality stretch material with virticle clown stripes.

My dresscode in the 80's: Jeans (slim fit), sweatshirt, duster coat, and an ''Arafat'' style (lose) neckerchief.
Even when the above shown clothing abomination was kind of trend - I refused to embarrass myself showing up in this.

I grew up in the 80s, and while a some guys wore the small shorts, which were the style, I never saw a guy wearing a crop top. Tank tops, sure, but not crop tops.

Yep, it's what you did. I had the body for it. I did road construction back then, so pretty much I just wore shorts the whole summer, except when doing asphalt. Too easy to get burned.

This was actually a homosexual trend that got popular in Hollywood and sports. Most men clothing styles were more conservative. The same way we see these short clothes too short now, the same people saw it back then.
