What are your favorite ways to protect your skin from the sun?

I have very sun sensitive skin and I often get sunburnt despite wearing wide brim hats and sunscreen. I am considering a parasol. What other things can I do?

There is nothing that you can buy that will help. You need to go to a dermatologist, and get medicated compound cream. I have 2 different types of cream. One for my face, and one for my body.
My cream is a protective barrier. I'm a cancer survivor, and I'm allergic to the sun. You also have to wear an enormous hat that covers you're complete face. You must also wear clothing that protects you from the sun. This includes the winter months not just summer. There are some really nice stylish clothing that is available at sport's stores that offer sun protection. You have to be a "detective " when reading the label's on clothing regarding sun and uva protection. One of the reasons I decided to ride a motorcycle was because I could be outside. Motorcycle gear and protection covers your body 100% . Good luck ✌️

It's worth getting a UV buff like in the photos you can use them to protect your neck or pull them up as a face mask if you need more protection. You can also get uv arm covers. Make sure you get the light UV ones.

I use exposure to build a tan. The tan protects us from the sun. If I'm stuck out in the sun for too long, clothes or shade (umbrella, pop-ups) are necessary. I refuse to wear sun screen. I never will.

Use a super high SPF sunscreen and make sure it's applied properly. Are you a ginger?

No. I use SPF 30 sunscreen and reapply every two hours. I’m not ginger, I’m actually relatively dark. I’m Latino

SPF 30 isn't a high SPF. Get 50 or 100 and try that. SPF 100 blocks out about twice as much UV as SPF 30.

I'm all about sun protection too! Along with using wide-brim hats and high SPF sunscreen, wearing long-sleeved, lightweight clothing can be super effective. Opt for fabrics with UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) for added safety. Also, sunglasses with UV protection help shield your eyes and the delicate skin around them. A parasol sounds charming and effective too! And, don't forget to seek shade during peak sun hours, usually from 10 AM to 4 PM. Stay fabulous and safe! ☀️😎🌼
