Besides from aloe vera what are your sunburn care/relief tips?

Aloe vera is really the best way. Anything else can make the sunburn worse. Just got to wait it out. Any SPF sunscreen is useless if you do not reapply it every 30-45 minutes. Also, SPF 50 is the bare minimum effective SPF. SPF 30 used to be considered the minimum standard, but global warming and stronger exposure to sun rays have made SPF 30 outdated. 50 is the new minimum. Try for a 60-70 SPF. Baby sunscreen is the best because it is designed to protect baby skin, which is way more vulnerable than an adult's.

There's very minimal difference with anything over spf 50. SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVA and UVB rays. Anything above barely blocks 99% and it's generally not both UVA and UVB. So I'm not paying more money for that. I was just stupid and forgot to reapply after swimming.

You aren't really going to do much better than aloe vera. You're just going to have to wait it out and let your skin heal on its own (with the aloe vera helping along the way). The lesson here is that sun block - even high-rated sun block - can only do so much, and so you can only stay out in the sun for so long. And if you're in the water, which reflects sunlight, you can reduce that amount of time by a factor of 2 or 3.

love the new pic... I don't burn that easily. I am out in the sun a lot working so I am used to it for the most part. I will burn if say I am floating down a creek or river on an innertube. The sun shining off of the water and occasionally getting wet to cool off can cause me to burn if I am not careful.
There is not much that can be done once the damage is done. Aloe will work to sooth but won't keep from pealing if the burn is bad enough.

When I was little, I got a very nasty sunburn, and my mother poured vinegar on it. It hurt like hell but did eventually reduce the pain.
