I was about 12 when I got my first like true bikini. But there are pictures of me as a small child on family vacations in a two piece bathing suit. As a mother of a little girl myself I know that it’s way easier to change a baby girl’s diaper if she’s in a two piece rather than a one piece. So I don’t really consider the two piece swimsuits I had as an infant or toddler as a true bikini as fashion as much as out of practicality.

Bikinis are great , from what I saw in Australia , most started wearing them around 12 / 13 in my time in Australia , nowhere near as common here.

I can't answer this for myself, but I had my first girlfriend when I was 14 and she was 13, she wore a bikini almost all the time. I remember her telling me she felt uncomfortable sometimes because she was large chested for her age, and felt uncomfortable, sometimes she wore a one piece.

I went to catholc school in the 80s and they ALL wore bikinis with a t shirt. The public school girls DGAF and were way HOTTER just by this simple difference. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bought briefs/bikini bottoms for myself last year. Mostly I wear it in my hot tub.
I think any age is good to start wearing them.
