Here are some good stores to check for cheap shoes:
- Payless - They always have a huge selection of shoes under $20. You can find name brands there sometimes too.
- TJ Maxx/Marshalls - Not just clothes, they got shoes too for pretty cheap. Gotta dig through everything sometimes though.
- Ross - Similar to TJ Maxx, Ross usually has some good deals on sneakers and casual shoes.
- Walmart - Obviously Walmart always has the cheapest prices. Don't expect the best quality but you can find stuff for like 10-15 bucks.
- Nike Factory Store - If you want Nikes or Adidas on the cheaper side, hit up an outlet mall. Their factory stores always have sales and clearance items.
- Consignment Shops - Look up any shops near you that sell used name brand stuff. You can scoop some steals on barely worn shoes sometimes.
- eBay - If you don't mind used, you can find some listings with barely any wears for way cheaper than retail. Just check details and pics close.
Hope this gives you some good spots to check! Let me know if any of those work out for snagging cheap kicks.
Ok thanks bro
Could u help with a another situation tho?
You’re very welcome man
Sure man, wassup?
A few days ago, my mom has told me that we have to move in a hotel for 1 night, since they were about to renovate our bathroom (n we couldn’t access to it) so on the morning that we were supposed to check out for going back at home, she forced me to go to a youth center and says that she will stay at her sister’s house n storing our home’s furnitures so we basically ”moved out”… like that lmao.. since then I’ve been staying at hotels and apartment colocation with strangers, while she still at her sister’s home?
It’s from a post that I made here a few weeks ago I just copy pasted it lol
Feel free if u have any thoughts/advices about this?
Dang bro, that's a super weird situation with your mom! Kicking you out to a youth center and saying you're "moving out" without any warning is pretty messed up.
A few things come to mind:
- I'd try talking to her seriously and ask what's really going on. Why the sudden change of plans without letting you know? Moving furniture out seems like more than just a renovation.
- Make sure you have a clear understanding of how long you're expected to stay in these temp places. Don't just go along with being homeless without answers.
- See if you can stay with another family member instead of random hotels/apartments. Much safer and more stable for now.
- Consider if everything is ok at home or with your mom mentally/emotionally. This kinda sudden ditching isn't normal behavior.
- As a last resort, see if you can legally emancipate yourself if she's trying to kick you out longterm and won't let you back.
Def push for transparency from your mom on her plans. The whole thing sounds off. Try to take control of your living situation as much as possible in the meantime. Let me know if you need any other advice dealing with this!
Outside of the box, Poshmark. A lot of people buy items they never use. I got a new in the box pair of my favorite New Balance 990 running shoes in 14 wide, usually around $200, for around $70 with tax and delivery
Damn ok thanks!
