Second hand/thrift stores but even in thrift stores most of the clothes and shoes are in a decent condition. I have to ask though, why in bad condition?

Cause I have a business idea I want to put to the test, I want to see if I restore branded shoes to a decent to good condition if they would sell at a good decent pace, I want to see if it brings good profits, I already purchased most of the supplies needed, I also need a trusted source on shoes that I can restore tho which lead me to this question.

That is actually a pretty good idea, I like it a lot, it is quite unusual as well and it would be pretty cool to test it!
But there is a slight danger to it, you need to fully confirm that the material you will take and work on is not a dupe which to me is difficult to figure out (since I dont know how to recognize if a brand is original/authentic since some of them look exactly like the original ones)

Oh yea I'm aware of that danger, I've been researching on authentication signs on certain brands so apparently many if not all known and expensive brands have certain unique signatures (not literal signatures as in autographs) on their shoes that are to show they are legit like the fabric of their tags, the way the stitching is, etc. The only complication is that they most likely have different ones for different shoes as just Nike has hundreds if not thousands of different designs and names.

Maybe as a thrift store because they might get pairs that might not be shelfworthy you could buy cheaply to bring back to life
