I live in the US.
I get a clothing allowance from the department, it is around $200ish a year, that keeps me in job shirts and ems pants, otherwise not all that much. If I ruin anything while working the department pays for the replacements. They can get cut/torn or too full of people juice so out they go.
A few pairs of jeans, a couple new dress shirts, I usually wear my older job shirts around the house, socks undies and a couple 2 3 pairs of shoes, so maybe around $300ish for all of that.
I have simple tastes.

I am somewhat of a minimalist. I will buy shits and pants, socks, underwear and keep them for several years until they start to breakdown. This will take a few years. In the past year I cracked open my wallet and I have maybe spent $ 400 on new clothing. The old stuff I donate because I don't like clutter in my closet. I might spend another $300 hundred in the next two weeks for a grad total of about $700. I will not spend more money on cloths for the next 2-3 years after that.

I bought a pair of work shoes last month for $126 but returned them because they came with factory defects. I bought a good pair of Dickies cargo shorts for work, for $40 about 4 months ago. I bought a pair of boots for work for $200 a year and a half ago. I didn't buy any clothes or shoes for a couple years before that.

If I spend anything it is a big deal. A clothing store was closing a couple of months ago and I spent almost 200 on Carhartt stuff. I expect I won't have e to buy anything for the rest of my life unless I get fat.
