I do because based on what i have actually seen in my lifetime it definitely seems like people will treat people they find physically attractive better or at least pay more positive attention to them.

I'd love to be ego free enough to say know but I'd be lying. I had a not very flattering opinion of my looks when I was younger and to know that I was wrong and feel comfortable approaching any woman anywhere is liberating. It took some good looking women becoming attracted to me when I didn''t think to highly as a kid was being able to see the world in a much nicer hue. It's taken some time to realize this but most people feel insecure about their appearance when they are kids. It's not the only thing that I base my self esteem on but I believe it would be more difficult without it. It goes well beyond the sexual opportunities it provides I think people who would nor should ever consider appearance for sexual reasons often judges you by it. Employers, teachers, it seems to be an unavoidable fact of life that's hard wired into us.
