Would you date someone who is careless or sloppy in the way they dress?

Even if that person is a public figure (movie star, etc ) or not a public figure.

There is this movie star that when he was younger he dress to success and to impress, now the years had passed and since his name now is known he stopped caring on how he looks and he does not dress to impress anymore, he dress now as he pleases to feel comfortable but by choosing that way of wearing clothes, now he looks sloppy and careless for his everyday life when he is not working. He wears clothes that make him look much older than his age and the clotehs sometimes look a little feminine (he is not gay as far the media reports) but he dress oddly like a person from the 50`s. and he is 43. Like a older aunt or grandpa and he is very good looking. Bur it seems he is sloppy. I mean if I was this guy girlfriend I will at least mention something beause I dont like a person looking sloppy like he doest have like self love or does not care at all

I know I stopped giving a shit somewhere in my 30's. Now I simply don't care what people think.

From psychology though I know that clothing is a uniform. I used to dress more gangster, and it did attract certain people. Now I just look like someone that's going on a hiking trip, in a hiking magazine. I'm comfortable with this. I don't attract the attention of thieves because there isn't anything shiny on me... and this also goes for gold-digging hoes. (I'm laughing as I remember) Some women used to walk up to me and attempt to convince me to buy them things... or to buy them for straight up sexual reasons. That's the shit you attract if you're flashy. Yeah, I don't mind that people no longer look at me with dollar signs in their eyes. I don't mind that young hood rats don't even want to talk to me... especially with questions like "Where you from?" which is just code for what gang you're from.

I like not standing out and being overlooked IRL. I'm like the opposite of an attention whore as opposed to when I was younger. Anyways, yeah, dress like a hooker be prepared to be treated like one. It doesn't take a brainiac to figure that shit out. If you're not seeking glam attention then don't dress for it and wear some cheap ass sunglasses.

if you already love them you can only hope they will sometimes dress attractive and kept but if you don’t know them and they dress like slobs, unless they are in the high end of a pay check, the likely hood of them getting someone attractive and well kept is slim to none. They likely stay alone for a long time or will attract other slobs who are just like them.

Benny Blanca and Leonardo both have a lot of money which helps a lot. If they were poor, I highly doubt any well kept woman would hang around there.

How a person dresses is their personal choice and style at the end of the day but if we were going somewhere nice like a fine dining restaurant then I would hope for the person to put more effort into their dressing/ clean up a bit

but carelessly dressing can come across to some as not being concerned with how others look at you or it shows you don’t care enough about yourself or maybe you’re just not into fashion which is ok I guess becaus everyone has their own style and preferences

No way to know why he dresses the way he does. Maybe he's not a fashionista. Maybe he IS a slob. There is never any accounting for people's tastes, style or how they dress themselves.

Just remember, it's HIS style, NOT yours. People dress to please themselves. It only matters what HE thinks of his fashion choices.

Definitely not. How a woman dresses shows how much they care about themselves and their surroundings. Sloppiness tells me they don't care at all. Saw a girl on a date with a guy one time; she was wearing sweatpants and a crop top and the guy had a nice shirt and pants. There'd be no second date if it were me.

No I would not. I value aesthetic very much and try to keep myself physically fit and dress well myself. A girl that doesn't do the same doesn't match me. It's very off-putting when a girl puts no effort into their health and appearance. And it foreshadows what she'll look like in the future. Probably another overweight/obese mother that makes excuses to not workout or eat healthy and doesn't care what her partner thinks about how she looks.

I want someone that actually cares about how attracted her partner is to her.

The values and priorities of the individual determine this. Casual or unkempt clothing may not bother some people if the wearer possesses other admirable traits. People who look more put together might be preferred by others. The way someone dresses should ultimately be a reflection of their personality, but it is not the only thing that makes someone attractive.
