Only a brand that you can afford
1 yI have a GMC Yukon. I LOVE it! I worked a couple summers with my uncle and that's what he drove. It's comfortable, spacious, has good power, it's pretty lol and has 4 wheel drive, which is important, now that I live in Wisconsin. We just had six inches of snow today 🤮

I love snow , I wish I was there - 1 y
@Kelly6 I was born and raised in Florida. I would get jealous when I'd watch romantic Christmas movies, with the snow gently falling and the beautiful warm clothes they wear. The long coats with the cute knit hat and scarf to match lol Then I moved to a cold climate! Don't get me wrong, the first couple snowfalls Inexperienced were gorgeous, especially around Christmas time but after that, I prayed it wouldn't snow for the rest of the year 😂

@Beckybooboo
In Spain we get snow less but in some areas.
In my town we get snow but not on Christmas - 1 y
That's the only time I like snow, is around Christmas time. I didn't know you're from Spain. I actually hope to visit Spain sometime!

Could you change your tire if you had to? Modern SUV's are challenging if no one has showed you how to lower and change the tire.
- 1 y
@KrakenAttackin It's funny you ask, I actually helped my uncle put a spare on his, twice. He had two tires that had one tire that had a bad leak and another that had a slow leak, so he put a spare on to get the really bad tire patched first, then did the same thing for the one with a slow leak. I Know how to do it but I honestly think I'm not physically strong enough, because the spare is actually a full sized tire. I've changed flats before but the spare was a cheap donut and that was hard enough to lift and try to line up the bolts.
- 1 y
You know how to use the tool to lower the spare from underneath the car? It would be good to acquaint yourself with the procedure should you have to do it.
The key to getting the new tire ON the spindles is to make it exactly level with the holes in the new tire, than just slide it on without having to lift it. - 1 y
You do this by adjust the jack up or down as necessary.
- 1 y
@KrakenAttackin with mine, I have to go through the back bumper to lower it with a tool that's stored with the jack. I haven't done it with my vehicle but I am familiar with how to do it but yes, you are actually right, I should at least do it my driveway to get familiar with it. I know I would be FREAKING out on the side of a road! Lol
- 1 y
I do have triple A lol I actually used it two years ago when I ran out of gas 🤦
- 1 y
Exactly right! I'm glad you are acquainted with the process. AAA often takes hours or your phone might be dead. It never hurts to know how to change your own tire.
- 1 y
@KrakenAttackin No doubt, when I ran out of gas, it took them a little under two hrs. I'll take your advice. ☺️
- 1 y
I'm just glad the weather was nice when I ran out of gas! Just imagine if it was freezing cold!

When the tow truck company got there
They hook the cable around it pulled it to the top of the mountain just about and the cable snapped and it rolls right back down
Since then I have probably had 50 cars or more I'll used and I just rebuild them and sell them
I really don't think that I would ever buy a new car again . Just because there's too many old cars out there that I would love to have love to fix up I don't know if there would be any I would keep maybe a 70 cuda or something
Where I live you need a four-wheel drive so and that's what I have right now and expedition.
but there are many old cars for sure I would like to have just a few months00 Reply
I genuinely don't have a favorite.
I was trained as a mechanic, and worked as one for several years. There's no such thing as a good vehicle brand: they all have different things wrong with them, and that makes it objectively difficult to say that "X brand is my favorite," from a mechanical standpoint.
That just leaves aesthetics as the only real metric by which I can rate them, but honestly, there are just too many bland/ugly cars nowadays. If we include all vehicles throughout history, then my picks would be from the American muscle era, and I'd have gone with either Chevy or Pontiac.

1 yMy favorite and what I picked are two different things lol. I had a BMW and traded it for a pre-owned Mercedes C (the small one). It's a beautiful car. But one that I'm crushing on right now is an Alfa Romeo Giulia. It has an authentic European look and I love the styling. It may be my next car.

It is a Ford F-150 and I bought it brand new right off the lot 5 years ago. It had all the equipment I was looking for and I was buying it right before Thanksgiving when dealers have to move inventory to bring in next year's product. I plan on buying another one in ten years or so,
30 Reply479 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I never purchase cars via brand , always via features , as tech constantly changes , I've had a Merc ( too heavy ) , Sporty Volvo S40T , Hyundai SUV ( awesome care ) , and in the old days in Australia 2 x Holdens..
But right now here in Thailand I like the new Haval SUV , but Trucks are cheaper here than Aussie , so I may buy Ford or Toyota. I think over cars only via Price / Function so if an option turns up that is better I will just immediately compromise.
On a return to Aus , a couple of years ago , I found a cheap car ( Ford Mondeo Wagon 2012 ) Diesel , that looked incredible , naturally it had some issues , but I drove that car for 4 months , Sold it ( quickly ) and came back here , you need to be careful here if the car is not new.
00 Reply331 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. As a kid the best car we had was a Volvo. I liked it, it was comfy for me :) But I don't know what I'd buy if I was gonna buy a car tbh. I really liked the look of the Audi TT convertible as a kid but I don't think they even make those anymore. I'm not planning on buying a car soon so I'm not thinking about it :)

1 yI drove Honda for many years, and then switched to Toyota about 15 years ago. Both are affordable, reliable and maintain their value better than other cars. Thye also have better than average safety ratings, proven when I was T-boned by a much larger Land Rover. My car was totaled but I had no injuries.

1 yAs I work in traffic safety, I want something safe and smooth. I can't afford a Porsche, like my man @msc545 , but I would probably choose a Panamera.
When I look at cars I immediately think to how often I have seen this modem smashed in a reck and how well the occupants faired (or didn't).

1 yJeep Wrangler love it. Can make it my way easier, doors on door off, top on top or the top the way I want, can have one seat to four seats in, and the list go on and on. Plus no really big change to the outside, so a 2024 looks almost the same as a 2000

1 yI "could afford" to buy a Caddy, but I won't. Our Kia was a great value, plenty of "options" that were standard. We were forced to get a new care during COVID, so colors were limited. Got a dark grey, would have preferred silver, but other than that, we love the car.

would be same with SEAT (which is known as Cupra in the us) or Audi but these are both more expensive while giving you vaguely the same quality product.
