Can you say that you dont have/use pajamas, WITHOUT implying that you sleep naked?

My workplace has pajama day sometimes, where we are allowed and encouraged to come to work in pajama clothes.

I've never worn pajamas, and what that means has changed over time, but whenever I've told someone this they have assumed that it means either that I sleep in underwear or naked.

Neither of these would be appropriate to tell (or imply) to a coworker in response to a question about a fun event day. So, I'm wondering if there's some way to say it that would NOT imply the most likely alternative?

I don't want to make up some elaborate lie, I just don't want it to sound like an intentional innuendo. there's only so many times that I can say that I just forgot... Any suggestions?

Be vague "i wear something but not pijama".

Pajama day does not mean you wear the filthy pajamas you sleep in, it means you go out and buy nice pajamas to wear to the event. No one needs your comments on whether you wear them at home or not.

I know you wouldn't wear the same pajamas you slept in that night, but I never got the impression I'm supposed to go out and buy a set. Nobody else has. They all wear pajamas they already have, after washing them obviously.

That's like $20 that's a lot of money just for a few days a year. Maybe it could be an option if I can't figure something else out though, thanks.

Obviously I can't do that. I go in my regular work clothes. I'm just asking if there's a way I could say I don't have pajamas to wear when someone asks me why I haven't dressed up for pajama day, without making them think I sleep naked. Maybe there's just not a way to do that.

I think if you just say that you haven't worn pjs for years and that you haven't worn anything to bed since (years ago), rather than say naked

Comfy clothes are the same as pajamas. Unless it's sweat pants, but that's the lie I'm trying to avoid, one I will have to remember every time the topic comes up. I don't want this to be a huge stressful thing I just want to be able to give an actual vague answer and go on with my day.

I don't own a single item of clothing that would normally qualify as pajamas. I sleep nude pretty much exclusively and the few rare times I can't I'll wear running shorts.
