I usually trim mine with an electric trimmer so it's not very visible, but not so short that it can cause ingrown hairs. I personally think, as a heterosexual man, that guys look better with little to no hair and if they do have chest hair, then only a little fuzz on the chest, like Henry Cavill in the Man of Steel scene.

I'm further along the evolutionary path from our ape ancestors so do not suffer the body hair as I have good enough circulation of blood to keep my body warm that I don't need it everywhere. I don't even like to have facial hair and could do without needing a haircut so often.

It would really depend on the woman. Some women would want a man who has no body hair on their chest, while some will be fine with body hair. I think a woman may not mind it as long as she is comfortable with the amount of body hair present on a man's chest.
