Either is fine depending on how well it suits the individual and how good he does in terms of maintenance. I dislike super long beards though. Like, a long scraggly beard is genuinely a dealbreaker for me. Poorly maintained facial hair in general is not a vibe.

a few days stubble... :D many men have beards and they don't put effort into taking care of them... so it's not attractive... clean shave is more like an office attire... but it suits some men... :D

three of my exes did prefer clean shave... one of them liked a beard, not sure if she did prefer hairy faces but she did like the idea of them

It depends on the guy's facial structure to be honest. When I was younger, I liked them clean shaven but after my mid 20s, I started finding bearded guys more attractive but then again not every guy look his best with a beard. Some look better clean shaven.

But yeah, I really like it when a guy has really well groomed beard. Not busy ones. Looks so good.

Shaven, or at best a 2 to 4 days beard. If a full beard, I'd expect it to be well kept. Looking at the picture on the right, I'd like him to shave off the hairs on the neck. It would look much neater.

Clean or shadow.  I really really dislike a beard.  I'm just happy I love someone who feels the same or I would be putting up with it as would never make them do something for me.
