Like with almost everything else in life... CONTEXT MATTERS.
Like at the pool or a beach what else are you supposed to wear? Like just literally. What other option is there?
But for most other occasions it can come off as a bit too casual. Fine for a quick run to the grocery store or to take out the trash, but sort of inappropriate (and impractical) for like long walks around the mall or the park or whatever.
But people will do whatever they want anyway. Not a huge deal in the end either way.
“Like just literally.” Were you in 7th grade last week? there’s always options, regardless of the setting. I didn’t say that it was a “big deal.” That’s the whole purpose of this site, and the Internet in general, in case you didn’t pick up on that.
Wow. Thanks so much for the sudden sarcasm and aggression. And especially at 33 years old when most people should be more mature by now.
I think you know I'm right but you're just trying to be contrarian. Possibly due to my younger age and you thinknig you're better than me by default.
I sure hope you talk like this in real life as well. At least keep it consistent.
Aggression? What did I say that was aggressive? Did I cuss at you? Did I make a threat towards you? I just said my opinion as you did.
"Were you in 7th grade last week?" Sounds pretty aggressive. Or at the very least passive-aggressive. Basically insinuating that I'm a literal child. Similar to if I asked you "did you graduate 7th grade?"
"in case you didn’t pick up on that" Also insinuating that I'm rather dumb and clueless. Similar to if I said "but you probably wouldn't know anyway."
Cussing and making threats are the most explicit/obvious ways to show aggressive or sarcasm, but not the only ones.
Perhaps you are being a bit sensitive there buddy. I don’t believe in the concept of “micro aggression.”
I don't completely doubt the possiblity of me being sensitive...
BUT...
There clearly is a difference between explicit aggression and passive aggression.
Explicit Aggression: "You are a fucking piece of shit and I want to fucking kill you, fucking go to hell you fucking cunt!"
Passive Aggression: "I would explain (insert topic) to you, but let's be honest, you probably wouldn't even understand it anyway."
The first one being an aggressive, explicit threat.
The second one being a more or less indirect insult towards the person's intelligence.
I hate flip flops. I have lived in some extreme summer and winter conditions and wear sandals a lot. I dont care where i go to. Sometimes they are just more relaxing to wear paired with casual clothing. Flip flops never because they not only do not stay flat on my feet they also bother the space between my toes.
Lmao... thanks for the laugh. When i was younger I kind of found it funny when guys wore flip flops... I dont even know why lol...
But now I dont care... wear your flip flops.
You’re welcome. I love making people laugh ☺️
No, I would not. Absolutely not
How do you like phoenix
Agreed for the most part. A pool, beach, on a boat. Im fine with men wearing flip flops for those water activities. Men wearing them to the store or restaurant like ugh 😑

What's wrong with thong sandals? You can't wear them everywhere, but in lots of summer places they're regular foot gear.
You can't mow the lawn with them, or do heavy lifting, or stand all day in them because they offer no foot support. But for schlepping around, and light chores they're fine.
You can't wear them to a nice, white linen restaurant. Too casual. And in most cases, they wouldn't let you in wearing them anyway. There are some standards that flip flops don't meet. And not to work, unless you sell ice cream at the beach.
But you can take a woman seriously who wears flip flops? Well obviously it depends on the context if everyone’s wearing suits and ties that’s one issue. But on a beach?
I’m not a big fan of them but I do wear them on occasion, I prefer slides over flip flops but I do have both
It doesn’t bother me. My husband basically lives in flip flops during spring and summer
Here in Southern California everybody wears flip flops all the time, especially near the beach. I grew up a mile from the beach. If it's not cold and I'm not at work, I'm wearing flip flops
@Kingofkings1992 I agree. Only acceptable in the shower or in the gym shower.
You can't wear that to work or interview or something professional except for some certain recreational purposes like beach or something
depends on the context. at the beach, why not. in a formal business meeting, i agree.
That's weird discrimination
Obviously you have never met a Samurai
Never thought about it.
Cool feet prevail.
I don't see the problem
