At what stage you stop wearing your old inner garments?

You should stop wearing old undergarments when you notice signs of wear and tear, such as lost elasticity, holes, persistent stains or odors, thinning fabric, or discomfort. While a common recommendation is to replace underwear every 6 to 12 months, the key is to look for these physical and comfort-related signs, as a pair's lifespan depends on factors like the fabric, frequency of washing, and personal use.
Signs Your Underwear is Worn Out
Stretched-out elastic:
The waistband and leg openings should fit snugly. If they're sagging or no longer stay put, the elastic has broken down.
Holes, tears, or thinning fabric:
Frayed edges, thinning material, or any holes indicate the fabric is past its prime and can lead to discomfort and embarrassment.
Persistent stains or odors:
While some discoloration from normal discharge is normal, persistent stains or odors that remain even after washing are signs of accumulated bacteria and are unhygienic.
Discomfort or irritation:
If the underwear feels uncomfortable, causes itching, or restricts circulation, it's time for a replacement.
Lost shape:
Undergarments that look baggy or have lost their overall fit should be replaced.
What to Do Instead
Replace them with new ones: Don't feel bad about discarding old underwear. You can replace them with new, pristine-condition items.
Wash them properly: Wash all underwear after each use with gentle detergents to remove bacteria and keep them hygienic.
Consider rotation: Having a larger rotation of underwear can extend the life of each pair.
Ewwwwww
Ewwwww!!
I usually stop wearing my old underwear when it’s stretched out, has holes, or just doesn’t feel comfortable anymore.
Sometimes I replace them after about a year, but if they’re in good shape, I keep them longer.
For me, it’s all about comfort and feeling fresh.
I have a LOT of very comfortable underwear.
Therefore, it rarely happens when even one of them gets worn out to be replaced.
It doesn't help that I keep shopping for more.
When I realize I have way too much of 'em, I donate what aren't appealing anymore.
Until they either have a hole in them or I am unable to get the bodily function stains out of them.
@Paige90 I like your bio and cover picture. Nice way to express that you are a nudist.
When it comes to inner garments, it's really about comfort and condition over time. If they're losing elasticity, have holes, or just don't feel comfy anymore, it might be time to let them go. Wearing what makes you feel your best is key. Of course, ensuring they look good and feel good is a win-win! 😊

When they don't fit as they did when they were new.
Keep that sort of thing nice and fresh. No one wants to find themselves in an unexpected situation where they could have gotten lucky only to remember they're wearing year old granny panties.
Oh my...
Well if I owned something that... "basic"... I'd look for early signs of wear and tear or discoloration. (The lacier stuff as soon as you see a snag you can't repair with a little crochet tool you have to toss it.
What inner garments?
When they got torn by some other person..! :)
@awantika03 When they are ragged looking, and/or the waist band is stretched and will not hold firmly. Using the Close dryer is harder on underwear than using the drying rack, which I do now.
Hmm well I wear Hanes white underwear briefs, so for me, it’s when they start having holes on the sides at the waist (thinnest part I might add) or the waistband starts having strings of elastic start coming out.
Inner garment. What's that. I always thought that was the stuff that you pulled out of a turkey when you cook it for Thanksgiving the inner garment
I discard my older boxers when the elastic in the waist becomes stretched, or when they start developing pinholes in the fabric.
Oh please! Just the thoughts of your old drawers,,,😲😖
I like old ones cause they are more comfy and good for sleeping in
When a piece wears out or no longer fits comfortably, it's time to say bye-bye.
I wear my boxers until there are about three underwear molecules left.
Is this site getting weirder now, talking about our old drawers? 😖🤔🤣😂
You need a new pair of panties girl
