Eye glass/contact wearers: have I made a mistake?

Hey guys, before I start, I need legit answers from people who wear contact lenses or glasses. Long story short, I’ve worn contact lenses every day for a month, including showering with them on and sleeping with them on. in the mornings, i would switch to a new pair because I thought that’s how you wear them. I’ve been feeling out of whack, tired all the time, don’t want to work out, over eating, work hasn’t been productive on my end all throughout this month. I wore my glasses yesterday for the first time and feel a big difference. Was this all because i wore contacts?

ya, I didn’t know. swimming haven’t done but the others. i was thinking just wearing glasses

Modern oxygen permeable hard lenses can be worn while swimming, in the shower and at night. I’ve done so for more than 20 years. Soft lenses can be worn while swimming, in the shower but not at night. General rule is, the longer you wear them, the better your cleaning regimen has to be.

Showering and sleeping in contacts are BIG no nos. By doing that, you're opening yourself up to eye infections or worse, losing your vision. Didn't your ophtalmologist tell you any of this?

Is that why I’ve been how I am this month? I went to lenscrafters, it was like a young optometrist who did my exam.

More than likely. Unfortunately, you can't sleep, swim, or shower with contacts in.
