Am I crazy for using eye contacts?

Long story short, I wear contact lenses and I thought I was allergic to contact lense solution so I just used saline solution. Doing so, the contacts became blurry and it was hard for me to put them in my eyes because they were dirty. I also was getting eye fatigue and it was like i was tired. I used contact solution to clean them and feel better and im able to see without any blurriness. My question is, should I stay with the contact solution or go back to using saline solution?

Yeah man, I wouldn't recommend going back to just using saline solution with your contacts. Here's why:

Contact lens solution is formulated specifically to keep your lenses and eyes clean, disinfected and comfortable. It has buffers and other stuff that normal saline doesn't.

When I tried just using salt water before, my contacts got nasty fast. They'd get smeary and blurry like you said. Then my eyes would get irritated and tired of always having crap on them.

Plus saline doesn't fully disinfect the way solution does. You can end up with an eye infection if bacteria or viruses are getting onto your lenses each time you wear them without proper disinfecting.

Those lenses are all up in your eyeballs - you gotta keep 'em clean, you know? Just using solution like the docs say is the safe bet. Yeah it costs more, but it prevents a ton of hassle and health issues down the road.

This time using solution again clearly made a big difference for you with the blurriness, right? I'd just stick with what works, dude. Your peepers are too important to take chances with. Hope this helps - let me know if any other questions!
