I wear a pair of shoes and since working at home after the pandemic, I have not changed my shoes except for a new pair I bought for hiking purposes during vacations. I don't leave the house so my shoes have a very long shelf life now and do not need to be constantly replaced the way they did when I was actively leaving the house to go to a physical job.
