Walk us through the WHOLE process of bra selection & fitting so maybe we can better understand the whole situation & buy some NECESSARY items for you this season!

Also, if it's work wear or daily wear who gives a flying fuck about condition, color, sexiness, frill, lace, etc. NO ONE SEES IT! Is it a YOU thing that it makes YOU feel feminine if the bra is sexy instead of practical? Wouldn't other factors like adjustability, breathability, support, nipple padding, strap padding, sweat absorbency, etc play a MUCH GREATER role in picking out a bra?

I think a woman needs to try on bras to determine what fits, what is comfortable, and what suits her needs and taste. Bras from different manufacturers fit differently.

Here is all I know about bras. I was first educated by a professional bra fitter in the UK named @softlyautumnal on GAG years ago. From there I did more research.

Bra band size is based on her under-bust measurement. The cup size is based on the difference between her bust and under-bust measurements.

In the U. S., the cup size is as follows:
1" diff = A cup
2" = B
3" = C
4" = D
5" = DD
6" = DDD
7" = F
8" = G
and so on.

When the band is too large, it reduces the cup size. Also, bands are sold in 2" increments.

For some reason, most bra fitters take a woman's under-bust measurement and add 4" to the band. That means that if she has a 24" waist, a 27" under-bust, and a 34" bust, she winds up with a 32B bra when, in reality, a 28DDD would be a better fit and would represent a more accurate assessment of her boob size.

It is the band that gives support. A band that is too large puts all the weight on the straps, which cuts into the shoulders and cause discomfort.
The center gore between the cups is supposed to touch the sternum between her breasts. And you are supposed to be able to fit two fingers beneath the back of the band for a snug but not tight fit.

But bra manufacturers would rather sell larger bands than a variety of well-fitting cups because it is cheaper.

It gets crazier than that. I sometimes look up the measurements of beautiful actresses in order to get an idea of the ideal figure. Measurements are typically in the range of 35" bust, 24" waist, and 35" hips give or take.
But I often see bra sizes that make no sense. A woman with a 35" bust wearing a 34 or even 36C bra. How can a band be larger than her bust measurement?
And none of them wear a cup larger than C.

That's where the confusion about bras comes from. People see a woman with prominent boobs wearing a B or C cup. They get the idea that B is medium, C is large, D is bodacious, and anything over that is humongous. I was once under that impression, myself.

That's why bra size tells you nothing about a woman's boobs.
