I would like to know your opinion about wearing your shoes sockless? ?

As for going sockless I can totally understand it if you are wearing beach sandals or walking on sand however if you are wearing the same old shoes, sneakers day after day it’s a bacteriafest. As for the main purpose of socks is to protect feet by reducing friction, preventing blisters, absorbing sweat, controlling odor and moisture, providing warmth, cushioning, and support, and maintaining foot hygiene by creating a barrier against dirt and bacteria inside shoes.

In addition buying socks keeps the sock companies in business & it also keeps the socks monster in your dryer fed.

I feels a teensy tiny bit odd but, I don't mind it, however, as my feet tend to sweat a bit, it's not a good idea for me to go bare in sneakers because they end up stinking badly within a few weeks. If I HAVE to do it and am only going to for a few minutes, that SHOULD be okay. In leather shoes, I can do it about as much and often as I like and the shoes won't smell at all. I think it's the cloth and/or rubber in the sneakers that collects the smell.
Even worse is if my feet are even SLIGHTLY dirty when I put the sneakers on!! But, many's the time I've washed my feet with soap and water BEFORE putting my shoes on, and even WITH socks and, within a month, the shoes start smelling like popcorn!!

I can feel sweaty after few hours but I'mused to it. I prefer sandals when I can

Sandals were great except that the bands across the top would get a bit sweaty and smelly and ANY dirt on whatever I'm walking on would get between my skin and the insole and build up clumps of dirt that'd make my feet stink and I'd have to scrape the dirt off, every so often. The only way to stop any of that would be to wear socks (or even pantyhose, anything to put a barrier between your skin and the leather/rubber) but, if you're GONNA wear socks, etc., you might as well just wear shoes.

Even on cinders I'd go barefoot and it didn't bug me much. A couple times I went barefoot in the snow.

Depends on shoes. I wear always socks in sneakers or boots. It's a matter of hygiene. Socks can be washed easily while leather shoes need to dry out or being treated with silver citrate or other anti-septic stuff.
Leather is porous and with skin rests that we lose permanently and moisture it's perfect breeding ground for bacteria and fungi.
