I was born with straight Asian hair which I used to comb it and apply oil every day. But now it’s not perfectly straight anymore, and some days I even get waves in my hair, like it looks more wavy on some days

I have always heard that hair changes texture every 7 years so maybe yours changed a bit and in 7 years might change a bit again. I wouldn’t worry that much. Just have fun exploring with this “new” hair you have now
How the hell would we know? We don’t know you or your hair. 🤦♀️

Your hair probably changed texture for a few reasons, not just “neglect.” 🥰
Hormones, age, stress, diet, and even weather or water quality can make straight hair become wavier or frizzier over time. Skipping oil and regular care may have exposed it to dryness and damage, which makes natural texture and frizz show more. Totally normal, and often not reversible to baby-hair straightness.
