Does this dress look to old for my 45 year old self?

I have a dress that I enjoy wearing in the winter with boots. I know that it can look a bit old to some. My friend, who is honest with me said it looked more like a "Grandma Dress." She said, if you were in your 60s, maybe. I wore it anyway though. The truth is that some people my age are grandmothers, whereas these days they could even be mothers. Does this dress look "ok" for me at the right event in the winter with boots, or is just too old looking?

I don't think the style looks old. The colors are subdued though. It has a bit of Bohemian look. It looks great for winter.

If you like it, own it with lots of confidence. If you do it with confidence it'll be seen as cool.

If you feel good in it, that confidence already makes it look younger and fresher. With winter boots, maybe a leather jacket, belt, or fun earrings, it can totally read “cool, stylish 45” instead of “grandma.”

It’s not about the dress being too old, it’s about how you style and own it.
