Me, the mirror, and the fear of 'no'?

I'm an average-looking dude. At least, that's how I see myself when I look in the mirror. Nothing special, you know? Just... regular. But what's messing with my head is I got no idea how everyone else sees me. Like, am I actually ugly and nobody's telling me? Am I decent? Do people look at me and think "meh"? I'm out here moving blind, and it's eating me alive.

The worst part? I can't stop comparing myself to my friends. Like, how do they do it? They slide into something new with girls so easy. One thing ends, and boom — next week they're with somebody else. For me? Bro, I can't even shoot my shot without my brain going into full meltdown mode. It's like I'm stuck at the starting line every time.

And here's where it gets twisted. I don't even like what I see in the mirror. Straight up — I'm not feeling my own look. But the craziest part? Most people around me say I look good. Some even say I'm handsome. But I can't accept it. I literally cannot buy it. My brain won't let me.

It's gotten so bad that I actually **avoid mirrors now**. Like, if I'm walking past one, I'll look away. And group photos with my boys? Nah, I'm good. I'll take the picture, but I don't wanna be in it. Can't stand seeing myself next to them. All I'd do is zoom in on my own face and pick it apart for hours. So I just... opt out. Every time.

Now I've got this full-blown complex. I don't compare myself to dudes on my level — nah, I go straight for the ones who look better than me. The top tier. And I just torture myself.

This whole thing has me completely frozen. Dead scared to even try with a girl. Why? Because in my head, if she says no, it's not just a rejection. It's a nuclear bomb going off in my entire existence. It confirms every dark thought I've ever had. It's like the universe is finally saying, "Yeah, you were right all along. You're ugly. Nobody's ever gonna want you."

So what do I even do? How do I live without this fear choking me out?
