I'm in for a radical hair cut. How far should I cut it back if I've always had long hair?

Get the length back as I used to have it.

I've had long straight hair most of my life.

I can remember when I just wanted a trim, and they got too happy with the scissors ✂️ and wacked it way more than I wanted.

The comments I got from other women went like this:

"OMG! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?

"COULDN'T YOU HAVE STOPPED HER"?

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT "?

"Ohhhh...😳"

"OH WELL, IT'LL GROW BACK ".

But if you get your hair cut like the last picture, you better be prepared to learn how to style it that way, which won't be easy unless you know of someone who can help you with it.

not only it would be a great look... if you have very straight hair, bob cut hair styles look amazing, if you have more of wavy hair... that picture you chose is a great example of how great can it look

but the better reason would be that... your hair is still going to grow back to the usual, long length... so you can actually try all of them... over time

You have wonderful hair but maybe a change for the summer will be fun. I say go for the "bolder style" It might be easier to maintain, and might also be a bit cooler in the hot weather. If you don't like it you can always grow it back.
