What cute summer hairstyles work for long, thick, wavy hair besides ponytails?

I have very long hair that gets very wild and crazy in the humidity. I don’t like completely tying my hair back because I can’t neatly do it in a pinch as it’s very thick. I’m looking for flattering hairstyles that are flowing but also keep some of that sweaty hair off my face and body. My hair is blonde and while it gets quite curly it’s not course or anything.

If you really like your long hair and getting a summer style and cutting off some, then putting it up in a bun would be a start. My hair really isn't long enough for that. It just looks weird like I am a cockatoo or something.

That is also because of the volume and texture of my hair. If yours is long and thick as you say, a bun would work great. Keeps it off your neck where heat gathers or is lost. Even a ponytail isn't as effective as a bun in that regard.
