What do you use to keep your hair soft, smooth and silky?

Nothing really. I just use a good quality shampoo and conditioner. I don't wash my hair everyday or once a week. I wash it every 3 days unless it was extremely hot or polluted out there, in that case I wash it on the same day or next day even it's just been a day... otherwise every 3 days because hair is not supposed to be washed too often or it gets dry and not be unwashed for too long. Other than that diet matters. I have always loved eating healthy food. Full of protein since childhood. Hair is made from waste of protein, lol. So, yeah. Also I oil my hair every now and then which my mother would do a lot to my hair often when I was in school. It definitely made my hair more stronger, shinier and silkier back then.

Oh, I have 3 favourite shampoo and conditioner. You can pick anyone that might suit your hair. I'm currently using Loreal Extraordinary Clay shampoo and conditioner because it's summer season here. So, this clay one makes my scalp feel extremely clean and cool and also makes my hair look a bit bouncy. Other than this, I also like Loreal Professional Absolut Repair Lipidum Shampoo and conditioner and also Loreal Paris Dream Length shampoo and conditioner is good too. If you're not tight on the budget then I will suggest to get the Professional one I mentioned it's specially for dry and damaged hair and it's very soft on hair. It will make reduce the damage and nake your hair soft, silky and less prone to hair breakage. Also, if you don't mind get conditioner as well as hair mask (I don't use it but I will if my hair feels too dry and looks dull) and use hair mask as often as they mentioned. Other than using these products just use almond oil like me or cold pressed coconut oil and heat that oil up. Apply it warm. Your scalp will soak it up better when the oil is warm. Also, make sure to not wash it soon. Keep it overnight if you can and oil it 2 times at least since your hair sounds like it needs more care and nourishment.

Also, I don't know the diet you follow. Just make sure you eat healthy food especially the ones that are high in protein and see the results in few months

Also, I gently massage my scalp while applying warm oil to it. I start with the scalp and then go down until the end. Be gentle and keep moving your fingers in circular motion for 5-10 minutes to make sure it gets absorbed before you lie down. It will also ensure you to get a proper sleep

If you currently buy the expensive one, just try the Dream length one and also keep the conditioner on your hair for at least 3-4 minutes to let it put moisture in your hair. Never skip conditioner after shampoo

I use lifebuoy shampoo or head n shoulders anti dandruff.

I try to wash my hairs by taking daily baths sometimes 2-3 times in a day but I use shampoo once in a day. I try to avoid having any dirt in my hairs. I try to avoid direct sunlight for longer time on my head.

Sometimes I use coconut oil on my hairs too but in small quantity
