It can feel warm and a bit itchy at first, especially when it grows in or if it’s dry. You notice water, food and drinks getting stuck, so grooming and washing become extra important. People often feel more “mature” or confident with it, but it also needs regular trimming and shaping to look intentional, not messy.

It's no big deal. You tend to slop wet things into your beard when eating and your moustache gets some of it, too. If you let the beard get too long, you might accidentally dip it into your food as you eat. And, you might even have to worry about bugs living in it.
You have to keep trimming the `stache every week or two because it gets longer and starts getting in the way of your food and drinks, unless you let it grow really long so you can train it to stay out of your mouth, sometimes by waxing part of it or maybe doing a Fu Manchu and just letting the ends grow really long but shaving the rest. Or, one of those tiny Charlie Chaplin/Hitler `staches, or one of those WWII British flying ace `staches that cover the bulk of your cheeks and tickle your ears and scrape the walls of narrow hallways you walk through.
I tend to let mine get a bit long, at least in the summer, because it's an even bigger pain to shave when it's hot and the razor skips across your slightly sweaty face. In as such, I'll at least try to keep the `stache a bit short by clipping the ends off with scissors but, no matter how much I cut them off, they STILL NEVER completely cut off!!! I have to cut them 3 or 4 times before I get them all and even that doesn't seem to work!!
About the only good thing about a `stache is, if you ever start getting long hairs growing out of your nose, nobody will ever notice.
Shaving, itself, is a pain in the ass, especially if you wanna keep your face devoid of hair. You have to do it almost every day unless you don't mind a bit of scruff for a few days. Or, you could go for that Chuck Norris look that makes you look like you just can't quite seem to stand close enough to your razor when you shave. Either grow the damned thing or don't!!
I'd imagine it's about the same as having to shave your pussy once it starts to grow back in, if you do that sort of thing. Maybe try that once to get an idea of what shaving a beard is like.
Unless I intend to do some kissing or dining at her little pink-taco stand, I probably shave once every couple weeks, maybe once a month. A few days ago, I was starting to look like Santa Claus!! I never even finished shaving because my razor ran out of razor beams. I had to recharge it.
One cool thing I've noticed is that, the longer you wait between shaves, the less often you have to. Like, if I shave every day, I HAVE to shave every day!! But, if I shave, lets say, on Sunday and, even though I'll NEED a shave by Monday, if I let it go `til next Sunday it'll be at least Tuesday before I NEED to shave again.

Honestly, feels no different than the hair on my head. Might get hit sometimes depending on the weather but again the same as the hair on your head. The only thing that’s irritating sometimes, if you don’t trim it for a while when you’re eating sometimes you tend to get hair in your mouth. Other than that doesn’t really feel anyway. I different honestly from having public hair. It’s there, don’t really notice it unless you have crabs in your pumpkin patch. As for what AI said, unless you’re just a slob you usually don’t have issues w food getting stuck in it or drinks. Doesn’t mean it don’t happen. But what would the AI woman know about having a beard and mustache.
