Why are perfumes so expensive?

You can buy by brand or just whatever smells good. Most of the perfumes I buy are copies (dupes) of expensive brands, and you can't tell the difference. Most are $40 or less per bottle compared to the $100+ you would normally pay.

Because a lot of b****es will pay whatever price they feel gives them decided advantage. It doesn't have to be every woman. Just enough to set the equilibrium price. And some products such as in this area wear their exclusivity like a badge of honr. Making less sales and use it as marketing to tout their exclusivity. Ferrari does that. Ferrari has rules and can and will deny you future purchases if they feel you're not showing their product what they feel is proper respect.

Excessive margins but there are plenty of cheap options out there.
