I had to look up what a "doe eye" is. So I asked AI, which said...

"Doe eyes are actually not dominant in a genetic sense; rather, the phrase refers to a social and evolutionary perception where large, round eyes are seen as submissive or approachable rather than dominant."

they are dominant. maybe not the most dominant eyes in the world, but they are still dominant. they are more dominant than hunter eyes and monolids, which are recessive. doe eyes are one of the dominant eye types.

if one of my parents has doe eyes and the other has almond eyes, my eyes would probably look more similar to the parent with doe eyes.

Gemini AI disagrees with you. What source are you using?

i’m basing it on what i’ve seen in real life, my observations growing up, and the people i’ve known. i’ve also heard and read multiple times that monolids are recessive. andi also heard that eye types like that are dominant and some eyes are dominant. i haven't seen many people with hunter eyes, either in my life cause it's rare unlike doe eyes which I see all the time

[AI Opinion]

Doe eyes aren’t actually genetically “dominant” in the strict sense, they’re just more common and more noticeable.

Large, rounder, more open eyes often come from a mix of several genes, and many populations carry those variants. They’re also seen as youthful and attractive in many cultures, so media, cartoons, and beauty trends highlight them, making it feel like “everyone” has doe eyes while sharper or monolid shapes seem rarer.
