Why do some girls look away so fast when they get caught looking at a guy?

I know it's 'cause they don't want to get caught. Though it makes it obvious they were checking me out, so I don't mind it. But some girls will gasped and look away super fast even with casual eye contact, like when our eyes meet in the hallway (and that isn't a "shoot, he caught me" moment)..
