Why do girls like to twirl around in skirts?

This is probably a weird question but
I notice that whenever girls wear these flowy knee length type skirts or ones with pleats.

I notice they like twirling around while wearing them.

What's up with that?
Why do girls do this from time to time?

Is there like something you feel while doing it?

I have never seen at girl over the age of 16 do this. Its more of something that little girls do. Its just their way of playing. When they twirl the dress just flies out like a parachute or something. Its no different than doing something like skipping. Its just a way of having fun.

I'm over 16, and I love twirling my skirt and watching it rise as I spin and fall when I stop. It makes me feel so feminine. And the best part is that the skirt goes brrrrrrrrr when I spin it. 🙈
