I actually have no idea. My mom always told me it's because men enforced that on females for easy access. Grosssssssssssss to think some schools force girls to wear skirts😢 some are so short you can see there panties. Have these girls ever heard of shorts?

  I guess with school uniforms they tend to try to go with tidy looking professional skirts that women usually wear in office jobs because it looks tidier than baggy pants
