Guys: What does a prolonged hug mean?

This guy and I have hugged 3 times now. I mean we're not close friends at all, but more like acquaintances. Anyway the first time I initiated it, but his hands went pretty far down my back and it was wayyy longer than 3 seconds. And then he started rocking me back and forth.

The second hug was today because we wouldn't be seeing each other for about a week. And we held on for a long time. Like a long long time. It started out with him putting one arm on my back (I can't exactly remember what happened) and then the other. I squeezed tighter and so did he, and when someone tried to hit me, he was like "don't hit her"! Haha is was sweet.

And the third one one was today again after we hugged once already. It was like a last goodbye but all 3 of these were really long hugs. What could these mean? Is he into me? Or just friends?

If I give you a prolonged hug it means:
1) I like you.
2) I like giving long ass hugs.
3) I only do it if you accept my long hugs so I'll keep holding on or else you would be trying to break off and say okay that's enough.
4) You're a great person. We have a mutual connection and I just want to appreciate and give thanks to you.
4) I like you as a friend.
5) I like you as more than a friend.
6) I do it because YOLO. Probably my personality.

It could be all of them except #5 since you guys are just acquaintances. He doesn't seem that interested or else he would've gotten your number or some way to get ahold of you by now. Or maybe he thinks you're unavailable and is okay with just beings friends. That's it.

Is there a possibility that he doesn't like me but at least finds me physically attractive? by the way I do understand that you can's like someone unless you know them. But you CAN find someone attractive without having to know them.

Because if it his personality or the way he acts then it'd be hard to tell if he is into you more than just a friend. Yeah. There's a possibility that he doesn't like you BUT he finds you physically attractive at least. And you're exactly right, you CAN find someone attractive without having to know them. Always. At least find out if he's available or not so you can make the decision to either pursue or give off signals that you're interested.
