I've never been asked to even ONE school dance! (PLEASE help)?

I overheard this popular-ish guy say he thinks I'm one of the hottest girls in class and another guy said that I was hotter than this popular cheerleader. I don't really know them. I was new to my school last year and unfortunately didn't make many friends. I'm nice but everyone already has friend groups established :( a lot of girls at my school have bf. tbh I think I'm just as attractive as them. I do have friends but not ones close enough to go to prom with. Im not really friends with guys either. But I see younger, older, guys the same age looking at me in class and when I'm at school. But They don't talk/flirt with me! Im shy but Im not afraid to talk to people. Yes I really want to go but don't just say go with friends because I don't have any friends either lol.

Don't worry about it!! Just be confident, you can talk to them!! And it's not the end of the world if you don't have a date to a school dance

I really want to go. I dont Even care if I dont have a date but I don't even have friends to go with. How pathetic is that? Prom is in a month :(

I do but they have made plans with each other and didn't include me. They've know one another since freshman year and I was new when I was a sophomore...

I'm not new. Like I said lol I've been here since I was a sophomore. Now I'm almost a senior.

That sounds like a good idea, the longer oh wait, the more likely they will have plans made already. if they don't have room and you can't go with them, go by yourself. I did my senior year, I just met up with my friends there

So just drive myself? It's downtown I think wouldn't that be weird to do that? What did you do?

Yea I drove myself... It was awkward, I just waited till I saw some of my friends who also drove themselves and just walked in with them, no one knew any different

Yea it was, it will feel really awkward at first, but once you get there, no one will notice how you got there or who you came with. Just go dance and have fun!

yeah I know what you mean... even though I participated in sports and such in high school I was a major goon especially with girls.

when she asked me I told her maybe...(pretty much because I was scared) I wound up going with her and had a great time.

over the years I have come to realize that there were a lot of girls I wish I had taken a chance on.
just pick a cute one and ask.
