Does posting pics of yourself half naked on social media (twitter, instagram, facebook) mean you have low self esteem or you want attention?

Pictures that are too revealing are not allowed on those sites. Though I have seen pictures of gals where the only thing on their boobs was body paint on Facebook. Assuming that they were allowed, I do not think it shows sow esteem or high esteem. And though it does seem likely that it means you are wanting attention, that may not actually be the case. Best examples of women doing that by not wanting attention are the women who allow their breasts or vulvas to be shown on sites that are medical in nature.

If a woman I was involved with had a good reason to do so and let me know in advance, I would likely be okay with it.

not necessarily. you're right, it might just mean that a person is comfortable with their sexuality or traditional forms of "modesty" don't allow them to express themselves fully as wearing less does. but somewhat of an indicator to know if they're attention seeking or not look at the demographic of the type of following they have.

I don't really think that it's low self esteem, it really could just mean that you enjoy how you look and you're comfortable with sharing that. But I don't think that men particularly like it if their girlfriend was to do it. My boyfriend probably wouldn't give a shit but most guys aren't going to be too pleased about it.

Not at all. It means you are body positive. There is nothing wrong with being confident and comfortable with your body. We shouldn't slut shame girls for this. Confident females are the best. Nothing wrong with that

Most of the time that is how people will assume that's why the person did it. What others think of the reason a person did it doesn't matter. All that matters is the real reason why they did it.
