Establishing a brownie point system. Join in.

I need a good rewards chart to set up between a girl and I. I think it's important in a relationship to have goals to seek for each other, as well as ourselves. It makes things more interesting. (:

Ex. Compliments = brownie points

20 brownie points = massage

And etc..

Try not to get nasty with it. I'm not looking to get 100 brownie points and expect her to have sex with me. This is a girl I like, and flirt with, but we're not a couple. Anything from, getting a hug, a date, or baked goods.. sounds reasonable to me. An elaborate, long, and diverse list, is what I'm looking for.

Don't worry so much about how many points each will cost. It's more important to have a huge list of things we can do to reward the other.

If we can get establish a good list, I think we can all enjoy using this brownie point system. (:

I feel like this is a very bad, bad move. Much in the same way that covering a meal for your good friends goes into some ethereal "I'll pay next time" pool, compliments are not something that should be measured and tracked. When you start getting nitpicky and reach for quantifiable goals, that becomes the crux of the relationship rather than an organic movement. How do you know that every time you get a compliment, it's not for the purpose of being added to a ledger such that it can be redeemed for a foot massage? It takes the spontaneity out of the spontaneous, and makes a selfless act seem calculated. A relationship, intimate or not, isn't a stamp collection or an essay with a word count requirement, it's a method of symbiotic growth and support between two people.

Look, we're not trying to build a relationship off this. We're just trying to have fun and give ourselves the excuse to do things with each other and for each other.

Ignorance is bliss. Don't think too deeply into it.

My point is that you shouldn't need an excuse. I don't spot money for my friend at lunch because she told me she liked my shoes, and I would hope a friend wouldn't holding out on baked goods because I haven't told them that they look nice today enough times.

-treat the other person to a night out of what they want

-15 min of letting the other person do what they want to you ;)
