Should you hug around the neck or waist?

I keep seeing places where it says the proper way to hug a guy you like is around the neck. I hug the guy I like (who's also my friend) around the waist and his arms go just below my shoulders (we always hug with two arms). I like it because I can cuddle against his chest during the hug. Is this sending the message that I only like him as a friend? I also hug him really tight if that helps... tighter than I hug other friends and I mostly give one armed hugs to others too.

The part I was going to bring up how well do you hug him and you answered it with hugging him tight. but it's also about how "close" you are to him Maybe if you hug everyone around the waist then hug him around the neck and tightly and hold it longer than most.

That will get his attention.

I do hug him longer than I do other friends:) I usually hug other friends closer to the shoulders than the waist and it's usually a one armed hug. He's the only one I get sorta cuddly with by leaning on his chest

My very first girlfriend asked me what I think she should about a guy she likes. I gave her my answer (to tell him) and that is what she did to me. Maybe that would work if you are both shy.

I think a perfect hug is. Girls arms around shoulders guys around the waist squeezing girl close with hand open on the small of the back. If its just friends. On the ass if its my girl!!
