Girls, Are Some Guys too Attractive or Mysterious to Be Hit on?

It seems like girls that I find attractive never seem to open up or approach me when we have a connection. I'm a pretty reserved guy, but I do go and talk to a girl that I find sexy when she puts off strong signals. But 80% of the time they lock up and look down with no eye contact when I talk to them and it goes no further! WHY?

I guess if you picked 15 people out of 100 in a room based on attractiveness, I'd be one of them-but it's in the eye of the beholder. If I make a leap and go out of my comfort zone only to get to a brick wall with her, I think she would try and get a little confidence just like me. I mean I know I'm supposed to be "a man" by making the first move and in my mind I do, but hell it seems like I'm making all the effort and end up looking like a doofus!

I never break the touch barrier or mess around by grabbing her drink and trying it or whatever like other guys do.. maybe I should! Any ideas?

Yes, you can be "too mysterious". Unless her intuitions are otherworldly and she completely understands you based on your outward appearance, being mysterious comes off as awkward.

Become an actor/diplomat in these circumstances. You are wearing your baggage and assume that random girls understand the meaning when they really don't. Come from a neutral place, a positive place. Realize you are both strangers who know zilch about one another, and go from there.

Well put. One girl I approached told me it was straight awkward and she didn't know what to say and I was so into her I was the same way! I'm bad at being a actor b/c in a way I can't convince myself to act a different way and haven't figured out yet how to.

Pretend you are intimidating, she is uncomfortable, and behave in a tactful way that will make yourself less intimidating and her more comfortable.

No, if your to mysterious that's not good.. no one can figure out how to approach. Basically that leaves room for to muck speculation. . which is never good and after a while it becomes a turn off batman

Would just being straight direct that I'm into her be a better way.. I mean not creepy direct obviously if she's not into me, but that "I think she's gorgeous and I'd like to get to know her blah blah" haha

I'm not sure what would be best for your situation. I know playing the mysterious role is a sure fire way to get any women headed for the hills a man that plays that part us very annoying.. and you men wonder why we end up choosing the assholes, it's because we know what we're getting, and oddly enough it's not awkward in the beginning. . like it would be dating batman

yes! i don't like mysterious guys and avoid them because i watch movies! those are always the murderers!
