I'm in the olive/tanned category and I find I tend to be drawn to the extremities for Caucasian women.
1) The pale, porcelain-skinned, very slender type of girl, perhaps introverted -- frail and delicate, long neck, artistic, that sort of thing. If she's a dancer, it'd probably be ballet or ballroom. Those tend to unlock male instincts in me that want to protect her and care for her (hope this is not perceived as sexist).
2) Then I like also the tanned girl who is athletic -- outdoors type. Into yoga, gymnastics, aerobics, kickboxing, this sort of thing. If she's a dancer, it might be something like hip-hop. I like those because they can keep up physically and tend to be very aggressive and playful.
interesting that you associate ballet with frail and delicate. the ballet dancers ik r tough as nails

@chintita They are and still very fit. I've dated two ballet dancers coincidentally (somehow just seemed to be into that type and luck of the draw) and both very slender, but much physically stronger than they look.
I think it's just that body type, if it's skinny (ballet dancers do still have a range, but my attraction was towards the skinny ones with more of a rectangle figure), contrasts more with my own in a way, perhaps, that unlocks those instincts.
The best word I can come up with is "princess" -- delicate and graceful. They also know how to form beautiful lines and gestures with their bodies in a way that comes out even when they eat, with delicate wrists and hands. It's hard for me to describe perfectly what draws me to this type.
@chintita Likewise probably very biased, but both of these women, as much as they crafted their bodies towards an ideal for their art, were rather emotional and insecure in a way that also unlocked some of those instincts.
That said, I hope that doesn't come off as a generalization about ballet dancers. Instead, it's a generalization about the type of pale-skinned women I like (character, personality, looks) who, if they do any type of dancing, would likely be in the classical like ballet or ballroom.
They tend to be appealing to me since they fit a classical aesthetic of femininity.
Tanned, outgoing women tend to fit what I consider to be a much more modern aesthetic, which is likewise just as appealing, but leads to very different dating dynamics and a very different outlook.
I think it comes down to diversity, it's not a general rule but I think subconsciously there are a lot of people attracted to diversity. It's the reason we have stereotypes in America about foreign women being sexy and phrases like 'opposites attract" many people like variety.
I've never really thought about it. I'm tan/olive/brown and both my exes were actually darker than me. But I've had crushes on pale ass white guys and dark af black guys, and even other olive/tan skin guys.
I've never really taken skin color into consideration. If I find them attractive, then I find them attractive and that's it.
Nah, definitely not a conscious thing - was thinking more subconsciously.
I'm attracted to guys of all colors but I can't deny the fact that most of the guys I'm into are darker than I am.
But then again light skinned guys tend to go after dark skinned girls but it only really applies to my race at least for me with any other whether they're darker or lighter usually doesn't matter/differs.
By my understanding, attraction is largely genetic. People are most attracted to people who would be complementary to their own genetics. Given that most people are mixed to some extent, it offers a range of options. Then, those preferences are affected by societal influences (prejudices).

In Germany many German women who are pale skin are attracted to men with Mediterranean/Latin American look like this:

In fact i think it's their preference.
There seems to be an instinctual component to seeing beauty. Like a 6th sense. The media may pump us full of Kim K but we just know it when we feel it. Awareness of race differences is taught and learned. Watch kindergarten kids not taught race awareness. They just see pretty.
For me as a dark skinned (black) girl, I don't mind, I have the palest boyfriend and it's just fun being complete physical opposites. Whether we picked each other because of that, I'll never know. But other than looks we are pretty similar, so I'm not sure if we are opposites
I guess opposite attract😃
Yes... so...

Hey had to do it lol XD
Well obviously depends on the person but I like all colored guys of all races. If I had to choose a favorite it would probably be white guys. I'm Puerto Rican and Jamaican by the way, so I'm a brown girl.
Hmm. Good question. I know a lot of black (women) "with dark eyes and hair" that are dating white guys with blue eyes and blonde hair... so that is possible that opposite attracts! but it also depends on the person.
I'm extremely pale and if someone is dark skinned and unattractive their skintone won't magically make them more attractive to me. I've heard that before but I think it's really just a myth :P
all the people you showed i consider white skin. lol
Never said anything about race... So yeah, they're all white skinned. But I'm talking about shades of skin. You're telling me they're all the same shade too?
Well... not really since I live in a country with only white people. o. O Not much else to compare it to in real life.
Sure, no problem, ili po naški, suprotnosti se privlače, iako se ne slažu baš uvijek i u svemu ;)
Istina. =)
No, in fact studies show that most people date within their race.
I'm not talking about race... that's why I never mentioned the word. i'm talking color... Not black white - although could be, but, for example a tanned person of the same race and a lighter person onf the same race...
Yeah, but lenty of people are darker naturally, but they're still white. italians are pretty dark - olive toned - still white. And they're like that whole year round.
Yes, but then it's logical to think of the question in terms of both skin complexion AND race.
I think that the majority of us incline towards what we perceive as akin: same race, or, within our own race, similar skin complexion.
People who have a bias for new experiences and exploring the world may tend to different skin hues/races. They are a minority.
i prefer pale skinned girls more than dark/tan girls.
girls glow more when pale- light skinned which is beautiful and feminine
Actually olive skin glows and it has a healthier glow than pale too in my opinion
I'm tan and I'm not attracted to pale or white skin guys. I like him to be within the same tone as me but funny many pale skin guys like me haha!
i personally am drawn to tan and darker skin more, and I'm tan myself, but i dont rule pale people out at all.
It can go that way sometimes but i don't think it's something i think about i like who i'm attracted to light, dark, pale or otherwise.
I like white bitches and im probably just a little darker than the second guy there. I don't actually think consciously but rather just usually turns out to white skinned/ features im attracted. Im in love with blonde hair and blue eyes honestly and feel they are too. But i do like latinas and black girls just not as much in general
I guess so. I definitely am attracted more to tanned dudes. Pale is cool too though, but only if you're literally a vampire.
I think they happened to be attracted to that person. I don't think they were purposely picked because of their skin tone
Not in my case. I'm somewhat pale, and I tend to be more attracted to women who are also pale.
People like who they like and I don't see any "dark skinned" people in those pictures by the way.
i am olive skinned, and i have been attracted to various people. Mostly Hawaiian and Asian.
I mean, I'm pale and I like tanned men... :) I don't think that is always the case, though.
Well, I'm Asian American and have yellowish tan skin, so that rule works for me, since I only like white women and no other women, not even my own race.
No. I have very light olive skin but it is still olive and I am not really into pale guys
There are some exceptions cause there a cute pale guys of course
But in general I love olive skinned to light or medium brown guys
I personally don't care actually, skin color really has no bearing on attraction for me.
Nah not really. I'm tan i don't go for pale people.
No I have olive skin and I'm not attracted to Pale girls.
@teawrecks lol what? I kinda said that wrong like I'm attracted to hot women just not like I don't go after someone just because she is pale ya know?
@teawrecks haha well your not that pale anyways 😜
Not true because I'm tan and I find tan and olive skinned people attractive
I do not find pale men attractive
I'm pale as hell, (and I mean I'll take what I can get) but I'd have to say, I really have a huge soft spot in my heart for pale guys. :,-)
@TheGuy101 Well gosh
Hell yes! I'm an olive-skinned hispanic girl and I LOVE pale-skinned white guys<3 :p
I'm pale and into pale so I am definitely an exception and therefore voted B)
Not this isn't true, not for me at least. That also doesn't mean I'm not attracted to pale skinned guys, I just wouldn't say I like them over any other skin tone.
No. That's an individual thing. Both my parents have olive/tan skin.
I'm not attracted to pale skin.
At least for my parents it's true. :")
I'm not into pale people.
I like everyone
peace :p
No. There is no set rule for this wtf
Well in my case hell yes
No, its not true at all.

Me personally I'm attracted to all skin colors.
