Why won't he touch me?

Why won't he touch me? I have known him for 2 months because of an extra curricular which he invited me too. (He showed up at my door step at my door step and invited me - that's how we met). At the meetings, he would usually sit next to me or near me. He would escort me home if he wasn't busy. We are just friends. At the moment he is away and he left some of his bags with me until he gets back.

So now to back to my question, some of the guys I know are so physical (sometimes its irritating). They always have to give me a hug, stroke my hair etc. But with him, its just a hand shake or a high five. There was one time when I almost fell but I got my balance before he could have helped me (when he saw I got my balance he quickly moved back).

What did I do to make him keep his distance, avoid any physical contact? Is he afraid to touch me or is it some kind of respect?

i think he might just respect you, he doesnt want you to feel likes he is trying at every chance he gets to touch you and get you into bed. he probably realizes that you get enough of the touchy feely stuff and doesnt feel like showering you with fake physical touches. he also could be thinking you are way too good for him to actually become the close friends who fool around like that.

he is definitely not afraid of you because he still talks and hangs out with you.

he respects you that's all. I'm the same way, if you want to make contact with him in some way when he walks you home one day say thanks for walking me back and hug him.

it could b because he respects, or maybe he doesn't know if you wanna b touched and he is scared. by any chance is he a virgin? because that might be it
