Why won't my boyfriend touch me?

I started dating a guy almost 7 months ago. He's a really shy guy and he says he really likes me but he probably wouldn't touch me with a 10 foot freaking pole. The only time he's ever held my hand is when one of my friends literally had to take his hand and manually intertwine our fingers.. for the past 4 months at least it feels like he's just a friend, and that's all he'll ever be, I mean really all it is, is us saying well yeah Steven's my boyfriend, or yeah Lauren's my girlfriend. That's about what it's come down to, and I just don't know what to do. He has never kissed me, he has hugged me on occasion, but I don't know. He tells his friends all the time that he wants to kiss me but he just won't do it. I just want some advice, please.

well you shouldnt worry much because it sound like this guy is taking you serious however he's going slow on this relationship. I mean if we went so fast you would neglet him for thinking that he tkes everything so fast maybe he as another girl behind my back, or maybe if he's has sex maybe he got some STD or something. and don't worry you just make him feel comfortable about it however if your not happy with him being like that, be honest and come forward to this guy. what can you lose from a little bit of honesty and pacients? hope I helped

either you take the initiative and start trying to do stuff with him, or talk to him about it and let him know it's ok to do those kinds of things with you. you said he's shy, so he's probably afraid that he'll mess up or do something stupid and you'll won't like him as much anymore but in reality you're losing feelings for him because he's not trying to do those things with you.

just try to talk to him and reassure him that it's alright to hug and kiss you

The best thing to do is to make it clear to him that you are very comfortable around him. Once he realizes that you guys are comfortable he won't be scared to touch you at all. Good luck ;)
