If by crush I'm assuming you are talking about someone you haven't even went on a date or established anything with yet. If that's the case I think you would be better off asking him out somewhere. If he's not into you, or if he doesn't know you that well it would seem a little over the top.

If you are already friendly and talk a lot thats a different story and by all means I'm sure he will think its really awesome. However if he doesn't know you like him (guys are idiots and always second guess even obvious signs) This won't probably won't give him a hint that you like him if that is your goal.

We get along well, we dont text, we are just friendly... im not trying to hit on him though i only made it for fun although i do have a small crush on him i dont expect anything in return, its just a gesture :)

Depends on him, I myself don't think so, this one girl I was seeing, I didn't have money so I drew her a homemade birthday card, I knew she liked r2d2 so I drew him on it with a poem and some other things, normally I can't draw worth a crap, but it actually turned out pretty good, she liked it so much she actually cried saying no ones ever done something like that for her nor said such sweet things nor wrote her a poem. If I received a drawing from a girl I liked id probably hang it on my fridge or bedroom, id think it would be sweet

In reply to both your comments , please remember that when you wish to give something to a person , you give it with love and respect. You want him to feel good. That's your only goal. Eve if he doesn't like your picture , he will ensure that you are not hurt because he loves you. so next time you present a picture to him , you present a type of picture which he is likely to like. Take risks to know what he likes. It will ensure your happiness in the long run. Completely try to understand him each day more and more. Show that you are willing to go to any extent to keep him happy.

the thing is he couldnt tell what it was until i told him... which broke my heart, im actually a good drawer... everyone else to whom i showed it to thought it was funny and cute... but i had to tell him what it was, and he later said it was cool, but i thought he mightve been trying to not make me feel bad

Tbh, it will not be that kind of gift only because it is picture of random thing, if it was the picture of you or him or anything that's connected will be good but certainly not something that's your hobby and you tried to pass it on as a gift. Gift carry emotional value.
