What's it mean when a guy is "copying" you in text?

(If you don't already know I have a back story on my other post.) Well me and this guy were texting and kept saying "ya" :so i just said "mhm" Later on he said "mhm" and "ya mhmmm" and was sorta mimicking or copying me. What does that mean?

He kept looking at me today and school and his friend pushed him towards me.

Most likely he doesn't even notice he's doing it and he just wants to, "speak your language." I've found myself doing this before and I think it has weirded out girls...

Just let him find his way into your comfort zone and find who you are. There you will find if he REALLY likes you.

He probably likes you if he keeps copying you in text and staring at you. If his friend pushed him towards you im assuming his friend is suggesting he should ask you out. lol. Maybe he will with more time.
