Is it ok to give my crush a birthday present?

Hi everyone, I'm 16 years old and my crush's birthday is coming soon.

She knows that I have a crush on her and have made it clear before that she's not that into me. However, we still get along quite well and chat through sms/msn quite often, though it feels very awkward when we see each other in real life.

So, is it acceptable for me to give her a present for her birthday. And in case you people might wanna ask, the present I'm getting for her is definitely appropriate.

I'm just wondering how she may react to me giving her a present...

It depends, if it's just you randomly walking up to her and giving her a present, I think would be thoughtful but alil creepy. It would probably make things awkward. But if she is having a "birthday thing" like a party or a night out and other people will be giving her gifts at the same time... Then I think that would be okay. Hope I helped.

it will probs make things more awkward... before you start giving her presents and stuff you might want to work on just being friends and just hanging out in a group or something because that all you can be... she will prbably interprate the gift as representing to feelings you expressed for her so focus on being friends instead. x

If you make it clear it's just a gift from a friend to a friend. Nothing romantic, just that CD she mentioned she wanted... or something like that.
