I'd say memes are an easy way to check out whether the (in my case) girl is actually willing to flirt or not. If she's not, you can simply laugh it off and say it was just fun.
But maybe she plays along and it becomes more serious. But memes should just be a starter. I think real flirting should not use memes for the mentioned reason that it could be confused with just playing/fooling.
Sending memes is the only way I know it's real. It's absolutely essential for a healthy relationship. Probably one of the sexiest things you can do
Me and my guy friend whom I like send each other memes all the time is he flirting?
so its a safe bet that he likes me more than a friend
well we flirt in person and he asked me if I have a crush on him (last year)
in man logic is sarcasm from a girl or a girl punching you in the arm taken as flriting
so where does being friendly cross over to flirty?
its VERY complicated
lately he's been acting like a weirdo/jerk
I flirt with memes like an adult.
For me, it's not
no it is not
You can. Better to be upfront about your feelings. You wouldn’t want to wait too long and you miss your chance.
Worst case scenario he rejects you and you don’t waste your time on a guy who won’t ask you out anyways
Seems like flirting
Nah but if you like the same kinda memes it can develop into a friendly interest in each other which can lead to other conversations. People say “damn I’m stuck in the friendzone” yet you become very good friends very quickly with people you’re compatible with and with that comes chemistry and then after you’re both done with taking risks to tell each other it turns into a relationship more times than not. In other words I think the friendship period is a good way to gauge how compatible you are with someone based on how long you’re there, the shorter the time the more compatible. Then again tho, The longest relationship I’ve had has been four years and none of mine looking back would I consider successful so how valid my opinion is, certainly is up for debate
I personally don’t see it as flirting but it does depend on the context of the meme I guess. I have a whole collection of memes that I just put into my new discord servers or send to friends occasionally like this one:
Or this one:
Don’t know why the space between them is so large?
Nvm, reloaded and looks fine.
I mean it's all about context and intention and also the content of the memes themselves they could very well be flirting through memes or it could be exactly that harmless platonic fun.
That being said it's a requirement that me and any partner of mine be able to send funny memes back and forth or even spicy ones. Because if I see something like that online I'm gonna wanna send it to her.. and I will send it to them. And I fully want them to be able to do the same.
Anyone who thinks that it is "flirting" to send memes, rather than actually talking to the other person, is simply one more victim of the digital age in which people have become afraid to actually talk to each other. This is a horribly disappointing characteristic of your generation.
Memes have more expression than text. It is more powerful than emojis. Clear. Concise. Not confusing. Full of meaning. Funny. Serious. Anything.
Or sometimes you just want to make a point.
For example - the text "Okay"
Like "okay" you are fine or "okay" leave me alone and stop this... Or "okay" like Lil'Jon? What? Okay!
If a girl sent me a meme personally I’d feel like that’s friend zoning me because that’s what I do with my friends. But it also depends on what meme you send them too like if it’s a romantic one then yea it’ll be flirty but if it’s a family guy one then no not flirty at all
No. It's the lowest form of communication.
Its basically admitting you're too dim-witted to put things into poetry or prose. But will just post a pic instead, and hope to hit the mark.
